From a wider perspective, it's usual that most multi-platform video games that land on Switch don’t look as good as their Xbox or PlayStation versions. Many gamers blame the six years old Nintendo’s portable home console hybrid for these issues.
While we all know Switch was somewhere technologically “weaker” in comparison to the already-released PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Still, the long loading times, visual jank, and super low-resolution textures for Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay turned out to be a lot for Nintendo users.
And what hurts most to the gamers is that it costs a full $70 to have Mortal Kombat 1 game on Nintendo Switch.
Mortal Kombat 1 Switch Issues Making Gamers Upset
Well, some gamers are literally on the edge! Due to bad resolution, they are not even able to differentiate between rock, Dirt, Mud, or even a stone wall in the game on Switch. The characters seem a bit better, but their defining features have their own knacks of bulging eyes, plastic-like hair, jagged edges on clothing, or skin that looks more like a toy’s exterior rather than an actual game character. Altogether there are many issues that are upsetting gamers which some are as follows:
Frame Rates: Nintendo Switch’s Mortal Kombat 1 target boasted 60 FPS gameplay during fights, but the actual situation currently reaches only a high 40s or mid-50s. This eventually provides a choppy and sloppy gameplay that can irritate even the calmest person on gear.

Long Loading Time: MK1’s Switch port is apparently taking a long duration to load, reaching up to a full minute to start matches. Surely, $70 doesn’t seem worthwhile when you wait that long for games to start!
In fact, the cutscenes and fights are also split short, by vague loading screens. Some of these cuts even happen in the middle of dialogue, which is super mind-boiling! Some even end up as random visual bugs during fights that are definitely unforgivable for a new game.
Overpriced: Initially Switch owners were happy that Mortal Kombat 1 was offering an actual native port on Nintendo, rather than the usual way of streaming cloud versions of the game. Surely, having AAA games like MK1 run on Switch won’t be possible via cloud streaming. But after encountering various hurdles with the game on Switch it's obvious that Nintendo can’t handle porting some of the bigger games. And if some companies like NetherRealm are doing so, then they shouldn’t be charging a bigger amount like $70 for such versions. Therefore, many fans consider Mortal Kombat 1 to be overpriced on Switch based on the rusty gameplay & graphics it is offering currently.
