Mortal Kombat 1 Dataminers May Have Leaked Unannounced DLC Characters

It has been a long history, as the games inch towards their release data miners dig out for the most viral insights about the game. Similar has happened with Mortal Kombat 1. NetherRealm’s fighting games have already encountered this digging for their previous titles, now data miners have unearthed some spicy clues about the DLC characters and story expansions of the game. Let’s check’em out!

Mortal Kombat 1 was released on September 14, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.  While, the ones who are eagerly waiting for the game's Kollector's Edition, Premium Edition, and Standard Edition, will be able to access the game on September 19, 2023. From 14 Sep 2023, Dataminers had the time to nudge into the game & dig into some hidden features not revealed yet by NetherRealm. And they successfully found something too! 

Dataminers landed onto voice lines that hint towards either a cut content or upcoming, unannounced DLC characters of Mortal Kombat 1. NetherRealm has already unleashed the roster set that will appear in Kombat Pack 1.

Hence based on these voice lines, Kombat Pack 2 might feature Jade, Cassie Cage, Kung Jin, Noob Saibot, Cyrax, and Ghostface from the Scream films. Some are speculating that even T-1000 from Terminator and Conan the Barbarian might also appear in Mortal Kombat 1 at some point. Let’s see how correct this datamining has been.

Apart from the DLC Character reveal of Mortal Kombat Pack 2, miners have also found seasonal Fatalities, out of which one is linked to Halloween. Hmm, so Halloween might be celebrated with some new content in Mortal Kombat 1 then! NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros.
