Latest update in COD: Modern Warfare 2 instilled various fixes and changes in the game. One of the most surprising changes was seen when the game starts up. Here's what the game modified in Modern Warfare II.

Modern Warfare 2's latest update implemented several changes to fix their game issues. It involved various bug fixes, UI advancements, and a handful of gameplay changes. But what caught the players' eye was the game's start screen.

As we all know Modern warfare 2 was a sequel to Infinity Ward's 2019 Modern Warfare reboot and it picks up from the end of the 2019 game's campaign. It was represented on the game's launch screen before diving into either the campaign or multiplayer mode. The latest update to the game removed all mention of the latest title & simply left the title 'Call of Duty' with a game start option at the bottom.

What New Updates are Included in MWII?

MWII follows Task Force 141, led by Captain John Price. They investigate a potential terrorist threat working with a notorious Mexican drug cartel. This dynamic forcing the team to work with Mexican special force's unit giving a nice punch to the game. While on the multiplayer modes it has been divided into smaller Core Map Modes, that offer a series of traditional 6v6 gameplay, and big map multiplayer 32v32 Battle Map Modes.

One of the Reddit users- Zoluh first spotted the start screen change and immediately posted it to the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit to inform others about the updates.

Some players argue that it has been present in the game since 2019's Modern Warfare to provide a separate access point to the free-to-play Warzone, with subsequent titles Black Ops: Cold War and Vanguard taking the follow up. It could potentially provide players with easier access to multiple Call of Duty titles in one location while not forcing them to purchase entries they may not be interested in.

It might become more common in the near future if more major franchises, such as Ubisoft's plans for Assassin's Creed, adopt hub systems for games.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is easily available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S players currently. You can enjoy it with your friends or just go solo!
